Born  in Provence, and passionate since her childhood about drawing and colours, Mireille studied at the School of              Fine Arts in Avignon. On leaving art school, she worked in collaboration with her mother, who ran an interior                decoration boutique and studio, and became interested in painting on fabrics. At the same time, she presented her                       textile design projects to the major furnishing fabric houses in Paris and began to supply painted linens
                                                                                          to the “Au Bain Marie” boutique.

                         She went on to take several courses in decorative painting, fresco painting and trompe-l’oeil at 
            the Ecole d’Avignon and then in Le Beaucet, which led to many commissions.
                                  Her brushes have taken her to St Aygulf, to Olivier Mitterand’s house in St Tropez, 
                      to the wine cellars of Château Pesquié in Mormoiron, to the Camargue to decorate a hunting lodge,
                                               to the chapel of Château d’Estoublon in Fontvieille, and further afield.

      Mireille is now one of France’s most sought-after decorative artists. Her work is very much inspired by nature,
                 the world of plants and flowers, and her designs, like her paintings, are often escapes into gardens… 
                 but she also loves the playful side of trompe-l’oeil painting, when the design can surprise the viewer, 
                                   and enlarges the space to the point where it almost seems that walls are not there!

            She lives in Caromb, a small village at the foot of the Mont Ventoux in Provence, where she has her studio 
                        and her walled garden… her eternal source of inspiration… She also does paintings on canvas, 
                                            often still lives of interior scenes with flowers, which are very popular.

She welcomes visitors to her studio (by appointment), to show her work and to discuss any interior decoration project.
